Howto guides

See flavours of Emdebian for information on what Emdebian can support.

The Introduction to cross building in Emdebian describes common issues, conventions and methods related to crossbuilding Debian.

It is recommended to build only packages which need functional changes and use other packages directly from Emdebian Grip, rather than setting up an autobuilder for all packages. Many packages in Debian do not cross-build and the cross-building tools themselves are in flux.

Cross-building Debian packages can be a complicated process and can require a detailed knowledge of a variety of Debian packaging methods and tools. Fixing cross-builds can absorb significant amounts of time.
